Protect Yourself From Debit Card Or ATM Card Identity Theft

星期六, 04月 12th, 2008

With identity theft on the rise, it is necessary to be aware of how thieves operate and what you can do to protect yourself. This article will deal specifically with these issues regarding debit cards and ATM cards.

With ATM and debit cards, it is the PIN that poses the risk for identity theft. An identity thief can illegally obtain your PIN and gain access to your bank account using three primary methods.

The first of these methods is keeping your PIN with your ATM or debit card, especially if it is designated as such. If a thief grabs your wallet or purse and gets his hands on your debit card, it will be useless to him without your PIN. If he has your PIN, he can fully access your bank account without anyone even knowing it isn’t you.

The greatest risk to your debit card security is using it in a crowded public place, particularly a restaurant or bar. There is always a risk of being watched or overheard while giving identity information and it is especially so when there is a crowd around an ATM machine. One well-known method used by identity thieves is called ’shoulder surfing’ where the thief tries to see what PIN is entered when you make a transaction. There are other risks that are not as obvious, too. Though you may trust that the person you are dealing directly with is honest enough, you can’t be sure the same is true of those nearby who may be able to see and hear what is going on.

Your best defense is to be habitually aware and vigilant. Always keep in mind that obtaining your PIN is going to be followed by the theft of your card or your card number. You are at risk of being mugged for your card a short time later if you let a thief see or hear your PIN.

The third method of obtaining your PIN by an identity thief is through a magnetic strip reader or keyboard entry logging applications. Some of these have a very sophisticated design. Some will use a pinhole camera to get a recording of your PIN. The thief affixes these devices to the ATM or similar machine for the purpose of capturing the details of your card. This is called ’skimming’. In recent years, skimming applications have increasingly become a risk because of the advancements in technology but they are not as yet commonplace. The thief no longer needs your physical card to gain access to your bank account once he captures your card information in this manner. Though they do look very much like a real card swiping machine, a frequent user will most likely discern the difference.

Another method of theft that is rare can occur at the point of sale but card swiping that is beyond what is necessary for the sale is harder to hide. The best way here to protect yourself against identity theft is to be aware of what is happening to your card if it is out of your personal possession.

PIN number security is the best way to protect yourself from being a victim of debit card identity thieves.

Contact your bank and have your PIN number changed if you believe your PIN number has been stolen but you still have possession of your card. For a lost or stolen card, Cancel the card as soon as possible and get a new one issued. Be sure to get a new PIN number, too. Never use your old PIN number after you have replaced a lost or stolen card.

Using the information above will help you to avoid becoming the victim of identity theft. Being vigilant in protecting your information can save you money, time and stress.

Bartering Online

星期六, 04月 12th, 2008

Online bartering has been going on for at least ten years. High profile websites that feature the service have been online for at least five years; a little surfing reveals that they are going through a process of consolidation and realignment.

There are a couple of models for online barter. A few sites charge substantial fees for member merchants to join and advertise. Their membership figures number in the tens of thousands. There are also sites that provide free access to people and merchants who wish to barter. Each site has a method of establishing value for the members’ goods or services, and each member has an account with the service based on what has been sold or bought. The host site takes a piece of each transaction, generally five to eight percent.

www.ctebarter.com is now known as international monetary exchange. Membership costs $595.00 and the fee structure is 7.5% buy or sell commission. In addition there is a $12.00 monthly fee. The site claims 15,000 members and advertises that base as an extension of your business advertising and account sources, should you join.

www.internetbarterexchange.net was established by a web hosting company ostensibly to assist its clients in expanding their business transactions. The host company, config.com claims to advertise the bartering service - and member clients - through the purchase of keywords on Google and Yahoo. For clients who do not use the config.com web hosting service there is a $199.00 membership fee, a $14.95 monthly maintenance fee and a 5% buy or sell commission.

The service available at www.trashbank.com is a general trading site with no evidence of fee structures at all. They are heavily engaged in selling advertising. www.u-exchange.com is also a fee-free site that has international aspirations, providing a search tool by country. Their financial model is also adverting-based.

At www.travelforbarter.com you will find the World Barter Banc which seems to have started as a travel barter service and has now expanded into the general marketplace. They claim 41,000 merchant members and have a specific and detailed index of product categories - eBooks, cosmetic surgery, costume jewelry, etc. The page has featured products which presumably cost the merchant for prominent placement, as well as a product search feature. www.barterbucks.com is a site with a different look and a “founder” who came to the barter business through participating with her own online company. However it has the same product index and is clearly the same operator.

www.frugalreader.com is a book exchange that works on non-monetary credits - one for a paperback, two for a hardbound book. The service is free, but provides a premium level for a monthly fee that gives members the first shot at new listings, the ability to limit listings, and so forth. www.bookins.com provides a similar service, with a more sophisticated point system and a centralized shipping system which presumably provides the site with a source of revenue.

www.bigvine.com is a well organized directory of barter sites. You can choose from general barter, B2B, travel, and a number of straight commercial options such as services that provide apartment listings and, in fact, vine vendors. Bigvine is a lead generation site, not a barter site.

www.barteritonline.com is a general bartering service with no membership fee. Their home page divides your search options into B2B, media buying (read ad-swapping on the Internet), travel, human resources, office equipment, real estate and more. This service has gone for wide distribution as opposed to a paying membership base; it is a pass-through service that advises its members to nail down shipping costs before closing a deal.

Discover The Three Wrong Reasons For Being An Ace Athlete!

星期五, 04月 11th, 2008

What is the known secret to becoming an Ace athlete? Do you know? Well, personally, i think the secret lies within each and everyone of us who desires to be an ace athlete. I say this because i could sit here and tell you all the secrets and yet if you do not put in the required action you will still be there reading these secrets in this article while i go on and apply what i’m telling you and become an ace athlete while reaching peak performance.

A true athlete sticks to a goal. He works hard to achieve it. Initially what he does is setting goals, then he thinks of a strategy or plan to help him achieve his goals. He follows that plan religiously since he believes it will help him to reach this goal. Before a plan is put into motion to reach a goal there are factors that will serve as fuel, motivation, propulsion to help you achieve your goal. Let’s consider some of them.

You will need to ask yourself some soul searching questions to enable you to draw your plans and follow through. Ask yourself:

Why do i want to be an ace athlete?
What is my goal in life?
What are my plans?
How can my plans help me to reach peak performance?
Do i love competing with others?
Do i make efforts to win?

Asking yourself these questions will help you to appreciate your heart’s desire as it relates to this area. It will provide you true answers lying within you which only you can give. These answers will be your motivation, your guiding force to implement your plans, your burning desire to achieve.

However, you would want to give good answers to questions such; Why do i want to be an ace athlete? If your answer is for winning then you are heading the wrong direction. This is because, though athletes always think of winning, they can loose, but what makes you a winning athlete is your ability of never quitting, the next time you may be a winner. If your mind is too focused on being a winner, if and when you loose, you will quit the game, then you become a true looser, and you wont want that would you? Therefore your answer should be to achieve because athletes win and loose at the same time.

Another area you would want to give a good answer to is on the question; Do i love competing with others? Competing in itself is not a bad thing. However, if you are competing it shows you have the true quality of an athlete, but that should not be your major goal. You should always consider the possibility of another athlete out-performing you, once you realise that, you will be able to strive to come out victorious.

What about answer to; What are my plans? Well if you do not know before about exercise and dieting, you will want to implement them. But first you will need to read all the available information on this subject so as to be able to fully equip you to succesfully implement your plans to ultimately reach your goals.

What if i ask you what your goals are, can you tell me? Well i have a goal myself. My goal is to bring to your realisations what you need to do to be an ace athlete by writing informative articles on this subject, while providing you with details on how to arrive at your own goals. So can you tell me what your goals are?

In all, you will need a good plan and strategies all geared towards your main goal to achieve whatever your fixed target is at the end of the day. Remember, your goal is your last destination which you may not reach if you do not plan and activate the plans accordingly.

Mobile Phone To Mobile Computer??

星期五, 04月 11th, 2008

With the current mobile phone market in the UK reaching an all time high there seems to be a multitude of handsets on the market. New and updated models hit the market at a rate of around 4-5 per month. Many features seem to bundled into these phones as standard and the costs of making them has soared to the point that many of the mobile phone networks in the UK are now pushing for 18 month contracts to reduce the cost impact. Phone manufacturers are now having to make a choice between producing a handset that covers all the bases at a respectable level to those handsets designed to do an outstanding job in one particular area for a more specific user. How many times have you heard someone tell you that they don’t use their camera, multi media messaging (MMS) or that they never listen to the radio function.

No sooner had the general public become accustomed to getting all this extra functionality from their phone, along comes 3G (3rd Generation) with it’s ability to offer mobile to mobile video calling and better access to internet resources it was almost certainly going to be a hit. The first real push in the 3G market in the UK came from a company who were specifically targeting this new generation of phones, aptly names Three.

A mobile without a camera these days is considered old and out of date, they are getting better and better the number of mega pixels (the higher the number the better quality picture you can take) seems to be getting larger each month and with it the storage capacity increases to cover the larger overheads. Very few models available in the market today are without the now “standard” features of a camera, sound recorder, alarm, internet browser and of course the much loved games. These days with the addition of “organiser” functions like calendars, task management and of course your “contacts” people rely more and more on their mobile.

For those people who are into music then Sony Ericson have released their “Walkman” phone W810i with a built in MP3 Player and fantastic handset design, or the W850 which also includes two way video calling.

Mobile phones are becoming more and more like a computer, with internet access, the ability to surf the web and pick up your emails, organise your diary and even the addition of instant messengers you really can hold your life in the palm of your hand.

If you want to take a look at what is on offer for the latest handsets and some of the best tariffs available on all the UK’s major networks please visit - www.bestmobilesolutions.co.uk

Keeping an Eye Out with an Internet Security Camera

星期四, 04月 10th, 2008

Leaving your homes unattended for a long period of time creates an uncomfortable feeling for you as the owner. The chance of your house being burglarized is always a possibility. It grows when you are away for an extended time like when you are on a vacation. You can’t help but wonder is there anything you can do to be reassured that the house is safe.

You can have a home alarm system installed. It may be costly but it may settle your nerves. If you are looking for alternatives, try surfing online. You may come across the idea of installing a webcam in the different critical parts of your house. The technology and required skill is already available on the market. You can even do it on your own. So, what do you think are the components for this system?

What You Need

Basically, you will need a computer, an internet connection, a camera or web camera that can be connected to you pc and an I.P. address. With precise installation of this setup, you will be able to remotely connect to your home computer installed with the internet security camera and instantly get live pictures of the different parts of your house. Some cameras have remote control features that can be used get a full view of different specific areas of your residence. With his feature, you can make the webcam or camera to tilt, pan, zoom and capture any image on various parts of your house provided that it is within its range.

How It Works

This is how it should work. The images are captured by your camera can be viewed from any computer or laptop connected to the web after you have rented and configured an internet address for your home computer where the security camera is attached. Security is incorporated in the setup such that only authorized users can access the images. By being authenticated by the verification of the username and its corresponding password, anybody can view those pictures from anywhere. You may even buy the wireless kind of camera so that any sensitive part of your house may be monitored.

The most beautiful part of this setup is that all the images can be recorded in your computer for possible usage in the future. If you subscribe to a high internet speed connection, you can actually view images in real time. So, if anything undesirable is happening in your home, it can be recorded and at the same time you will know whether to call the local police for assistance or not. You may even purchase colored cameras.

If you have a business of your own and you would like to have the same features this internet security camera can provide, this setup is the perfect solution to your need to have supervision of an area remotely.

Muscle-Building Outdoor Activities

星期三, 04月 9th, 2008

This section is devoted to those activities that are mostly devoted to actual building of muscle and require more strength than the ones previously listed. It’s fool-hearty to believe that none of these activities cross over, because they all do to some extent. However, there are some activities, such as rock climbing that, while the heights and danger might stimulate the heart more than actual repetitive muscle exhaustion, it’s a much more strength-based activity.

ROCK CLIMBING

A challenge to your senses, all manner of adventure sports are a fresh approach to fitness and an excellent way to cross-train your body into ultimate fitness. But don’t let the term “adventure” frighten you. Rock climbing may adventurous, but when calculatedly learned and practiced, it can be something that is far more beneficial to the whole musculoskeletal system than it is perilous. It’s greatest benefit is the strengthening and conditioning of the entire body, with an emphasis on upper body power.

Without a doubt, rock climbing emphasizes coordination and strength. The two, in fact, are highly interdependent. Upper body strength is key here, but having an overall balance of strength is a plus. Conditioning is something is that required in addition to performing and practicing movements on a regular basis. This, too, is interdependent for the actual ability to climb at all, let alone enjoy climbing or setting goals in the outdoors. So what does that mean? A rock climbing gym is really the only place to start in a sane and safe manner. This isn’t a sport to be undertaken lightly. Unlike hopping onto a mountain bike or donning a pair of running shoes and hitting the local track, rock climbing requires a ton of skill, and practice. It is a synergy of many different attributes and abilities put together to compile a total picture of capability, strength, balance and calculated mental and physical agility.

Have we scared you off yet? Don’t be scared. A rock climbing gym is a great place to enjoy the sport, and acquire skills that, even if you never venture out on to an actual rock, you’ll be able to benefit from. Though, why wouldn’t you want to test your skills under a blazing 80 degrees, and enjoy the elements and freedom of climbing against a backdrop of the great outdoors?

Rock climbing works just about every muscle in the upper body (pectorals, deltoids, forearms, biceps, triceps, rectus abdominus, serratus, intercostals, latissimus dorsi, spinal erectors and teres major) as well as a few in the lower body (hip flexors, trocanter, quadriceps, hamstrings, and calves). It is probably the single most demanding total body engagement one can find in any strength-based activity.

Indoor climbing gyms have popped up all over the country-either as a part of a larger gym or as a separate entity that offers nothing but climbing to its members. Classes are necessary as it’s a skill that is impossible to pick up by osmosis!

Cost of classes and/or gym membership:

For a gym like Gold’s Gym in Portland,OR where rock climbing comes as part of a total body package, (CALL 503-222-1210) you can get in on one of their specials and pay as little as $299 a year at certain times. Rock climbing isn’t taken as seriously as in a ‘climbers-only’ gym, but it’s affordable and is a great way to get your feet wet in the sport to see if you like it. For a rock climbing only gym like Dyno-Rock Indoor Climbing Gym in Arlington, TX you pay a monthly fee ($45) and then pay a class fee for instruction ($10) and a rental fee for equipment ($6 for harness, carabener, shoes, and chalk bag).

Buying your own gear:

For a simple gym kit (harness, belay, carabener), without shoes, you can pay between $75-$120 for your own gear. Shoes are about $60-$120. If you’re going outside, expect to pay a lot more for all the gear you need because, let’s face it, it has to be good!

Advantages:

You can rock climb indoors and out. You have the ability to be completely safe indoors or take more chances outdoors, depending upon what you want. You’ll feel more free as a human being than you ever have. You can choose this over standard strength training any day you are working upper body if you join a combined gym.

Greatest peril:

Falling and overuse injuries to hands, fingers, wrists, shoulders and neck

Disadvantages:

It takes a long time to become proficient at this sport, and it isn’t cheap!

Benefits:

Build unbelievable strength in your upper body and have a sense of agility unmatched by any other sport. Your mental acuity will soar. Your concept of “fear” as you currently know it, will be short-listed.

Best places to Rock Climb:

Ready to grip it and rip it like the big boys? Of Gateway’s Top10 Best Places to Rock Climb, the top nine are located in South Africa. Number one? The steep sandstone faces on Table Mountain in the Peninsula Mountain Chain in South Africa. Here in the U.S.? California’s Yosemite National Park or Tuolumne Meadows in California’s High Sierras.

KAYAKING

This is one of those cross-over sports that requires both strength and endurance. However, we put it into our strength category because of the amount of upper body muscle it requires in order to engage in it.

Kayaking can be done on a lake, river, or in the ocean. If you don’t have access to one of these, it likely isn’t a good choice for you. However, with the diversity of land and many natural bodies of water found in the U.S., it would be hard to believe that there isn’t a body of water someplace near your home to provide you with recreational and fitness opportunities.

In fact, the sport of kayaking is growing in popularity so much that the price of kayaks have absolutely gone through the roof! An entry-level inflatable kayak starts in the neighborhood of about $250. You can find them at Costco in the late spring and early summer or at a sporting goods store. They only go up from there. $699-$999 buys you a single-man kayak built for recreational paddling of all skill levels, either an ocean or fresh water model. The greater the stability and lighter weight the materials, the more expensive it gets. $1000 and upward buys a serious kayak for higher ability level and more competitive conditions. When we say “upwards”, we were shocked to find that kayaks can actually sell for $10G’s! Yeah, the price of a pretty flashy speed boat, complete with motor and leather seats. (Drool)….

But the truth is, while kayaking can be expensive, it doesn’t have to be. Nor does it have to happen in Class IV rapids to be beneficial to your strength and endurance levels. It’s a great upper body workout for anyone. For fitness purposes, kayaking is actually better suited to still water, such as is found on lakes. Rivers provide their own challenges, and certainly, it requires strength, endurance and calculated choices in order to navigate successfully and safely. However, if you’re purely into the enjoyment of being out on the water and getting your strength needs met, kayaking is a great way to do it!

Equipment needed:

A kayak of some kind, a cart with wheels to get it from car to water, plus an oar, swim gear and a change of clothes, as well as a floatation device/ life preserver

Muscles worked: Latissimus dorsi, lower pecs, deltoids, serratus, intercostals, obliques, biceps and triceps

Advantages:

Can be a great way to get out of the gym and burn calories along with building upper body strength. Calms the mind, and is a great way to fish and view wildlife.

Disadvantages:

Kayaks are bulky and require roof racks. They can be quite heavy, depending upon the model, and require two people to lift and carry them. You can only kayak year ’round if you live in a place where the water doesn’t freeze over in winter.

Benefits:

A great fitness tool, they can develop the back and shoulders like nothing else. There are no limitations to when you can kayak-it’s a great summer activity in the early morning, heat of the day or at twilight

Best places to see the world from a Kayak:

Alaska, Hawaii and the South Pacific. http://www.alaskaseakayakers.com/, OR http://www.kayakkauai.com/

EXTREME OUTDOOR WORKOUTS -

Obstacle Course Racing & Fitness Boot Camps

If you live near an army base, you may have seen the obstacle courses that armed forces must train on to prove that they can sufficiently persevere in combat out in the field. Cargo nets, body hurdles, tire tracks, rope grids, walls, beams and bars, etc. are all a part of these courses. In fact, if you follow women’s fitness, you probably know that competitions such as the Galaxy or Tri-Fitness competitions, require that a woman compete on a course just like that in order to test her physical fitness in addition to her aesthetic appeal. Trust us, these aren’t your average T&A shows! While these girls may look like cute little “Hooters” honeys, they’re actually fitness gorillas capable of serious ass-kicking.

This interest in military type training emerged several years ago and it’s become a full-blown industry unto itself. The only problem is, there aren’t a lot of obstacle courses available and open to the civilian public. So serious course runners have begun to build their own courses in their own back yards. Let’s face it, climbing a wall with just your own two feet and a hemp rope isn’t exactly for the mild mannered.

To quench the appetites of those interested in learning how to pursue this kind of ’serious fitness’, many camps have sprung up to give weekend warriors their fix on hardcore fitness. These camps include work on an actual obstacle course, along with personalized “You’re scum soldier” kind of ear-barking that would leave even the most Semper-Fi’ed individual shaking in his mother’s army boots.

The great thing that comes out of this is a kind of physical culture and training regime is a work ethic that most people can take back into the gym with them, and get much better results. At these camps, such as outdoor fitness boot camp “Camp Technique” in Los Angeles, weekend inductees (maggots?) engage in everything from super circuit training, to advanced stretching techniques, to weighted ball training, to “weak point training”… in order to realize that what they originally thought was a hard training session was more like wetting the bed in their sleep!

Obstacle Coursing can compliment any training routine and satisfy a number of training goals, if not compliment what you’re currently doing. It’s an excellent all around type of strength, endurance and agility training tool. It also has the power to transform the body into a sleek, fit machine in under 6 months, provided you follow a good diet in addition. But it’s not for the weak of heart. It’s best that you use obstacle course work, or super-circuit type training for a compliment to an already strong physical fitness program.

Attending a camp is just a great way to get started.

Cost of camp:

$150 per person/ per day or packages of $500 for a week

Cost of Use of Course:

If you’re lucky enough to have one in the area that you can run. Use of it can be as cheap as $5 a time. (Kissimmee, FL, Orlando, FL, Venice, CA, and locations in Ohio and Texas, as well as several others springing up in a town near you).

Cost of Building own course:

$500 for a simple set of old tires, a cargo net and a few over-under hurdles, to $5000 for a complete course on acreage, complete with wall, bars sunk into a permanent foundation and rope grids.

Muscles worked:

ALL!

Equipment needed:

Clothing you can move in, water, gloves with tacky grip, good athletic shoes with cushion for concussion, ball cap, visor or sunglasses

Advantages:

Can get you into shape like nothing else. A true combination of strength and cardio in one. Can really cut down time in the gym once you’re fit enough to go

Disadvantages:

Not a lot of obstacle courses are available to civilians; you’ll have to build your own unless you live in a few select places where obstacle courses and civilian fitness go hand in hand.

Benefits:

You can transform your body in a short time, your strength will increase by 20%, on average, within the first 1-2 months. You can count it as a full body workout, or upper body workout, and skip the gym that day. It will push you past any result you could get in the gym within the same time frame.

Best Fitness Camp:

Platoon Fitness (www.platoonfitness.com) with classes and camps in Philadelphia, NYC, Boston, Jersey, and now in Europe, in the U.K.

Make Money Selling Ebooks with CBMall

星期三, 04月 9th, 2008

Information is one of the biggest reasons people surf the internet. Finding out how to lose weight, how to meet that special someone, how to work for yourself and fire your boss…the topics go on and on. Amongst the sites that deal with topics like this are an ever-growing collection of eBooks. eBooks are a great item to sell, as there are no printing or shipping costs. All you need is the website from which to sell eBooks.

CBMall takes care of the website for you. All you need to do is promote ebooks that are sold through CBMall, and you receive a commission on all sales through your mall. The “CB” in CBMall refers to Clickbank, which is one of the largest repositories for eBooks on the internet. CBMall takes the most popular, best selling eBooks from Clickbank and makes them available in an easy to use website that functions like an online shopping center, or “e-mall”.

I purchased a CBMall back in 2005. With your purchase, you receive your own link that gives you commissions on all sales made from people who click your link. You do not need a website, which greatly reduces the amount of investment you need to make. Your CBMall account gives you access to a knowledge base of how to get started with promoting your CBMall and even offers some words of encouragement from Jeff Mulligan, creator of CBMall.

Jeff has created a great mini course on CBMall and how you can use this to develop your own online business. The course is free to take and it is a great way to check out CBMall without spending any money at all.

I have been impressed with the ease of use of CBMall, and its various features. There aren’t any hidden surprise charges that come up after you buy it. The only other investment you can (and should) make is in promoting your CBMall link, since that is the way you make money through CBMall. The good news is, Jeff offers you a good amount of information on how to market and promote your CBMall. The great news is you are not forced to buy loads of software or sign up for any hosting or long term monthly service agreement.

I’ve promoted my CBMall through some Pay Per Click ads on Google and MIVA, as well as some Ezine ads. I’ve sold several products through CBMall and have built up a considerable amount of subscribers to Jeff’s CBMall mini course. I will be paid commissions if any of the subscribers under my name purchase CBMall. There is some sample promotional copy for CBMall available through the site, just keep in mind you’ll probably want to use your own as a lot of people will probably use the standard stuff.

CBMall gets an A+ with a big gold star. This is a great tool - just remember, you’ll need to spend time and some money to get it to work for you (just like any worthwhile business venture.)

Family Resorts In The Caribbean

星期三, 04月 9th, 2008

The Caribbean has become a well known standard for family vacations. There is so much enjoyment to be had and usually contains resorts with a lot of features for the family. You can usually get the following items in a family package

* Deluxe swimming pools with water slides
* Water sports and the beach
* Programs for kids and activities for a family
* Drinks on tap and convenient meal times
* Pampering services for adults such as dining, cocktail parties and spas to name a few
* Good rates for a family
* Services such as babysitting

There are so many Caribbean all inclusive family travel resorts available today and considering you are spending your hard earned money and you are taking your whole family you want to choose the best one that fits your needs.

When a package advertises as all inclusive, it doesn’t necessarily mean everything. You do get snacks and meals, kid’s programs and drinks, some water sports among other things but not everything. Consider the following

* Water sports like kayaks, wind surfing and aquatrikes are included but things like water skis and jet skis and anything else that is motorized can cost extra.

* You can usually do some snorkeling but there may be a time limit to the gear and if you desire to sign up for a boat trip you may have to pay for it.

* Scuba usually ends up being extra

* The spas are extra most of the time unless you go on a special Caribbean travel deal

* There are certain non all inclusive packages that have meals and activities included

* If you travel out of the resort you will cost you but usually there is a shuttle or a town within walking distance.

Kid’s Club

The all inclusive family packages offer clubs which consist of one or two rooms filled with toys, a TV and sometimes video games for ages four to twelve. A friendly experienced staff is on hand to supervise them. You can find this on almost all packages; they vary in age group and programs. Some examples of Caribbean family travel specials that offer this service are Beach resorts, Atlantis in the Bahamas and Club Med in Punta Cana.

Babies and Toddlers

It is easier to find infant care and nurseries on many Caribbean travel resorts these days. It is a helpful thing for a parent because you can take a little break for yourself and leave your child taking a nap in the nursery.

There are nurses and doctors on site in the bigger travel resorts so check them out first if that is your concern. And double check the resort before you go to make sure that they have a baby club running during the time you will be there.

5 Top Things That Cause Your Insomnia

星期二, 04月 8th, 2008

Millions of people out there suffer from insomnia almost every night. Many are trying to cure it with drugs. Why should you use drugs if you can find the causes and manage to overcome them?

Yes, there are some simple solutions that you can try. You only need to find the cause, and, zap! You can cure your insomnia almost effortlessly.

Here are some top causes:

• Your bed room

Is it messy? Is it too crowded? Did you choose a calm color of wallpaper or paint?

Yes, all should be put into considerations.

Sleeping is a process to relax your body. And, you can never get relaxed if you’re not comfortable with the condition of your bedroom.

• Your bed

Make sure that both the bed and pillow are comfortable and clean. Remember, it will be hard for you to shut your eyes if you’re not comfortable.

Also, avoid doing other activities than sleeping in your bed. If you’ve been watching TV while lying in your bed, you’d better stop it. That might be the cause of your insomnia. It’s better to move the TV out of your bedroom.

Bed should only associates to sleep, not to other activities.

• Clocks

How come a clock can cause insomnia? You might ask.

Let’s see it this way. You’re having an exam or job interview tomorrow and of course, you wouldn’t want to be late for that.

So, before sleeping you go checking you clock placed on the table next to your bed, once. Then, you check it out again. That makes it twice. And again, and again. Not only it takes too much of your sleeping time, but it also adds to your nerves.

Stress will avoid you from sleeping. So, put your clock somewhere else.

• Too many thoughts

If your mind goes to several directions such as jobs, family, health, etc, you’ll never be able to get yourself relaxed.

Try to avoid thinking too much when you already get in your bed. To help, you can count sheep.

Yes, that might sound silly but it helps you get your mind into one single direction. Soon, you’ll be sleepy and close your eyes.

Just try and prove it.

• Alcohol

The alcohol works as a stimulant and regardless of how tight you close your eyes or how deeply you long for sleep, it doesn’t happen.

The way to avoid alcohol induced insomnia is to either not drink in the evening or choose a drink that works to relax you instead of stimulate you.

If those are the things that cause your insomnia, follow all the tips to get a good night sleep. I believe, soon, you’ll be sleeping like a baby.

Have a nice sleep!

Barack Obama has a political “problem” with national security which is kind of like saying Howard Dean has a “problem” with voice modulation. Obama, of course, has no foreign policy training or experience (not to mention no record of military service), yet he wants to have tea with the world’s dictators.
